Definitely one of my favorite subject to photograph: The mighty Aurora Borealis; also known as Northern Lights.
A lot of things have to align perfectly to get the perfect picture. The right amount of solar activity, direction of the magnetic fields, moonlight and the weather of course. Constantly checking the data provided by ESA & NASA helps a lot but sometimes you just have to be in the right place at the right time.
